We have two events planned simply to celebrate…

As we celebrate the beginning of a New Year, we are humbled to recall the sacrificial gifts of our friends and partners in 2011.
Christmas…
Through your generosity, well over 500 children, teens and adults were blessed at Christmas! After having the privilege of sharing fleece blankets and Christmas stockings filled with toys, toiletries and more with all of those who attended our Church Bus, we were able to supplement the giving at four Apache-led, Bible-based churches. Friendships with members/leaders at those churches were formed or strengthened because of you! As yet MORE gifts and fleece blankets were available to give, God prompted the beginnings of a partnership with the San Carlos Apache Tribe’s Social Services. This agency has a caseload of over 500 children. An Apache-led “parenting class” was one of the recipients of your Christmas gifts. This class will most likely receive continuing support from ARM as our partners begin to provide diapers, formula, new or gently-used children’s clothing and toys in this coming year. Only God can use Christmas gifts to increase HIS Kingdom. But again…that’s what CHRISTmas is all about!
Arizona Partners…
Through the year-end gifts of our partners from Arizona, both those partners and this ministry will benefit from the Arizona Tax Credit program. This program enables donors to receive back the gifts they provide in accordance with specific guidelines within the State as ARM serves Arizona’s ”working poor” when they file their 2011 taxes. This ministry was able to end the year in better financial shape because of those gifts.

Because of the generosity of many, we were able to pay down some of our debt, which was an incredible answer to prayer.
Praise God for the partners of Arizona Reservation Ministries as together, we work to ‘Provide God’s ARMs Around the Reservation.’
Arizona Reservation Ministries exists to provide God’s ARMs around the Reservation. Currently serving on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in ways only God could orchestrate, those “arms” are providing a hug for children, shooting basketballs with youth, building homes, distributing clothing and food to impoverished families and sharing God’s hope through the Gospel with all ages. Established upon the principal found in Exodus 17 where God’s people need the assistance of others, ARM has chosen the servant position of Aaron, holding up the needs of our Apache brothers and sisters as the Lord leads. Those who partner with us—financially, prayerfully, or physically, are likewise upholding those in God’s family who live in tremendous poverty (“Hur”). That leaves the “Moses” position: Native Christians are more than capable of representing Christ on their Reservation. With their limited funds, etc., we are simply called to “hold up their ARMs.” We’re grateful that you’re taking the time to read about us, and acknowledge that our deepest need is your prayers.

Praise God! We are not quite finished…but a project that is so much larger than us has been unfolding here in the desert of Arizona. God blessed this ministry with 45 acres that borders the National Forest when we were looking at 3-5 acres. As the economy slowed, the County told us we needed a permanent access to that property over the Pinal Creek. That creek runs dry for most of the year, but when the rains melt the snow above, rushing currents wash away our culverts, making access impossible by vehicle. The Lord provided the initial funds in January of 2010 to begin, and the permits were in hand in April. He then provided precious people from New Jersey to California to help haul rock in the summer sun, form enormous concrete pillars, create a bridge from railroad cars and then place them by crane, and so, so much more. We are humbled by the laborers, and those who financially have sacrificed on this project. God is Good…and God alone could do this. Please, please pray for the remaining funds to finish, the rock baskets still to build for the final gabion wall, and the boulders that will need to be placed underneath it all. But…most of all…Praise God!
