Arizona Reservation Ministries has been thrilled to provide school supplies specifically requested by teachers tucked inside brand-new back packs for children and teens of the San Carlos Apache Nation every year since 2004! In July of 2010, 399 children and teens received their very own back pack and school supplies, thanks to the generosity of God’s family from across the United States! Besides this tremendous quantity of supplies, we were also able to deliver a significant amount of remaining supplies for the Reservation schools to distribute as they saw a need.
We are excited to watch as the LORD orchestrates meetings between this ministry, Tribal agencies and the schools of the San Carlos Apache Nation to coordinate backpack distribution in greater and more efficient ways! Not only will children receive needed school supplies (and we’ll also include reminders of their Savior’s love!), they’ll also receive critical information from these agencies. Families will both learn ways, and receive the encouragement they need to become strong partners in their own children/grandchildren’s education. All of this means, we’ll need more supplies than ever! (More children will be present for the Distribution).

By purchasing items at dollartree.com, and having them send your school supplies “site to store” to our Globe, AZ Dollar Tree, they’ll pay the shipping! We noticed last year that the quality of items from this store was good, and the price unbeatable. You can also shop at Wal-Mart.com (also “site-to-store” ) or send Wal-Mart, or Target gift cards to save on postage costs.
*Please note that the deadline for us to receive school supplies in 2011 is July 4th! (School begins here in Arizona the beginning of August!)
